Hi, I'm Scot!
I founded The Career Expert in 2015 specifically to support mid-career professionals who are navigating a job market where the rules have changed since their last employment search.
With an extensive background in leadership roles for Fortune 500 firms, academia, startups, and career services, I have worked in (or managed) almost every function in countless industries.
Our team is well-rounded with people like me on the hiring manager and HR side, executive recruiters, and accomplished career services professionals with more awards and certifications after their name than I can count.
We tailor our approach to the individual, which also means we are thoughtful about pairing the each client with the right professional to address their needs.
My industry credentials include Certified Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW) issued by the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and career coaches, and the Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE®) certification awarded by the National Résumé Writers' Association. I am also a member of Career Directors International.
